So you want to play a sport in college but your high school coach doesn’t do a lot of inside work to get you a look or you are not listed as the best person on the team.  Listed below are some things that you can do for yourself to get your name out publically and have national exposure to your talent in just a few clicks.

First off, let’s get creative and design a profile page that highlights your talent.  These profiles will be on different websites that coaches/recruiters often look at when finding new talent.  You can also flood your social media accounts with your successes.  Keep in mind that all social media should be portrayed in a positive light because coaches/recruiters do pay close attention to what is being liked, posted and tweeted these days.  To create your profile I have included the two most reputable websites to launch your success.

To start, go onto NCAA Eligibility center website at www.eligibilitycenter.org.  Look up your    sport(s) and see what the eligibility guidelines are to play at the collegiate level and requirements that need to be met.  Be diligent on these steps and go through each one to ensure that those qualifications are met.  This is the most important building block to your success.  This will allow exposure to your talent so that coaches can view and follow you as your high school career develops.

Another great website is NCSA Athletic recruiting at www.ncsasports.org.  In my opinion, this is an amazing website that will go in depth to list your profile, statistics, and highlight videos, etc.  This will give college coaches/recruiters direct access to your information and each time a coach or recruiter views a profile the website sends an email saying your profile information has been viewed, and by whom.  This can be a very exciting and rewarding time knowing that your hard work is actually being viewed and starting to pay off.

Remember each season update all new information, statistics, videos, etc. to keep your profile relevant and up to date.  These are just a few things that can help define your path to success at the next level.   Keep in mind you are in charge of yourself and your success.  Do everything possible to put a positive reputation online.  Bring hard work to the table in combination with your talent and success surely is in your future.  Soon, you will be well on your way to an amazing collegiate career!  Good Luck!
